Devlog 2: Prototyping
Heya pizza lovers,
This week we worked a lot on our prototype and were able to implement our core mechanics to playtest. We had to find out how the game feels and if it is fun to play. Below, you can find a breakdown of the different mechanics.
Movement
The player is able to accelerate, steer and brake with the vehicle. (currently still a car for prototype). The players can collect one or multiple pizza's, which spawn at a random pizzeria ...
... and deliver it to the randomly highlighted house.
Power ups
When a player picks up a powerup, it gets added in the inventory. We decided that we would also add a second powerup-slot in which the picked up item always converts to a speedboost. The players can already pick up and use the speedboost powerup, which is a hot pepper. spicy!
Our artists also finished the artbible this week and made a lot of cool new and updated pages.
